This is a wonderfully bizarre acanthite from a small find a number of years ago. The strange pits on the melted surfaces are shockingly lustrous. I am wondering, in fact, if this might be a stephanite instead of an acanthite. Typically, you will find well formed, highly lustrous stephanite crsytals on top of "melted" acanthites. I love the sculptural nature of this piece with its rough and smooth surfaces and separate branches. Comes with a custom made base and measures 4.1 x 3.2 x 2.5 cm.
