This 6.0 x 4.2 x 1.4 cm specimen from Karur has wonderful color and luster, no damage, and a wonderful fan-like structure. With a hand lens you can see many small needles of rutile and discs of hematite inside the quartz crystals. These inclusions are typical of specimens from the Karur area. I particularly like the tiny reverse scepter at the top of the specimen (see the detail picture below). So many Karur pieces are badly damaged...it is amazing this tiny scepter survived!
