The luster and striations (especially along one corner) of this hoppered acanthite are so unusual that I had it tested to make sure it was not something else. It IS an acanthite, just more lustrous and sharper than any I have seen before. There were, unfortunately, only 4 crystals found in a single pocket. This has the best striations of the four. It is undamaged and measures 2.3 x 2.0 x 1.1 cm. The \"black\" side of the crystal in the the movie is actually as lustrous as the other sides: this is just an artifact of the lighting.
