What look to be chalcopyrite crystals turn out to be dodecahedral acanthite crystals with a thin coating of chalcopyrite and a later generation of cubic acanthite on top. The overall size of this specimen is 3.5 x 5 x 6.5 cm. The largest acanthite (coated with chalcopyrite) is over 1 cm across. A wonderful example of the complex geology from this area.
