This is a large cabinet specimen from the Morenci Mines in Arizona. It measures 13.5 x 12.5 x 13.5 cm with dark blue rosettes of azurite to about 1cm across. The light blue color around the edges of the piece are incomplete crystals, all of the crystals in the center of the piece are undamaged. I really like the colors and topology of this piece. The light blue botryoidal chrysocolla is a beautiful background for the dark blue rosettes of azurite. The sprinkling of green malachite on the edges reminds one that all three of these are copper minerals.
