The luster on this schorl is extreme. The termination has three perfect planar faces with the same luster. I can't decide which is the front and which is the back of this piece. On one side, the embracing cleavelandite is a snowy white: the perfect contrast to the black schorl (any penguin would admire the aesthetics). On the other side, the cleavelandite is not so pristine, but a cavern in the feldspar provides interest. I bought this specimen on one of my 6 trips to Pakistan. I know it is "only" a schorl, but look around and see how hard it is to find one this good...5.7 x 3.5 x 3.3 cm.
