I am not sure if this is a babingtonite specimen or a calcite specimen. I guess it is an association piece. The babingtonites are small, but they are pleasingly sprinkled on selective faces of the calcites. The one calcite at the top of the piece, is very pleasingly constructed with interesting faces. I don't think it is a twin. A couple of small quartz crystals live just to the right of the main calcite. The Roncari quarry is rightfully famous for nice calcites and datolite crystals, but there has been no collecting access for many years. 10 x 5.8 x 4 cm. The main calcite is about 2 cm tall.
