This is an oddball specimen if ever there was one! It is a quartz and hematite pseudomorph of ... epidote! This piece is terminated, and has a wonderful square cross section. The vertical striations of the original epidote crystal are preserved up and down the length of the prism faces in the pseudomorph. The termination is also well defined. This is a wonderful specimen for a pseudomorph collector, a Washington state collector, or any collector of American minerals. 4.9 x 1.7 x 1.8 cm.
