Quartz (scepter)
Liliana Mine, Mun. de Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico

A few years ago, the Liliana mine in Chihuahua produced some very complicated quartz scepters. Unfortunately, most of these specimens were loose crystals...very few matrix pieces were recovered. This is one of those pieces. It features a large light smoky and skeletal scepter on clear quartz and a small reverse scepter just below it. The piece measures 6.3 cm across, 5.3 cm tall, and a little under 4 cm back to front. The main crystal is about 4.8 cm long. It is interesting to note how much larger the scepter head is than the rest of the crystals. There is a hint of amethystine color in the tip of the large scepter head. I love the diminutive reverse scepter next to the big one. No damage.
