Malachite and Chrysocolla Morenci Mine, Morenci, Arizona, USA
This is a lovely specimen of green malachite and chrysocolla on a contrasting matrix of black hematite (?). I am not actually sure what the shiny black mineral is, maybe someone will tell me. The malachite is arranged in botryoidal masses that resemble cauliflower. The specimen is in good shape with a few touches to the tops of the malachite masses here and there. A nice cabinet specimen measuring 9.7 x 10 x 6.5 cm and from a classic US location.
