Genthelvaite and minor Quartz Huanggang, Inner Mongolia, China
This ball-like aggregate of genthelvite crystals is a floater or near floater with no signs of a contact. Perhaps one of the small quartz crystals used to have an attachment to the matrix somewhere, but it is hard to see. The genthelvites are a lovely brown with a reddish tinge. They are undamaged, and well formed with nice sharp peaks. A robust thumbnail at 2.8 x 2.7 x 2.5 cm.
P.S. I apparently left a small piece of cotton on the bottom of the specimen, now removed! No hidden damage underneath!
