Silver and Allargentum in Calcite Bouismas Mine, Bou Azzer District, Morocco
This specimen appears to be a mix of both native silver and the silver mineral allargentum, partially etched out of calcite. It is my understanding that silver crystals are somewhat flexible while allargentum is not flexible. As some of these crystals are bendable and others do not appear to be, I believe this piece contains both silver and allargentum. It is a very nice specimen on both sides that sits as show. It has taken me 5+ years to find some reasonably priced specimens for resale. I think this is a very nice one and it measures 10 x 4.4 x 5 cm.
