Do you have a shop?
I don't have a shop --- but feel free to send me an email if you are going to be in the Connecticut area and you'd like to stop by. Make sure you call first --- I'm often overseas looking for new specimens.
How long have you been in business?
I've been selling rocks and minerals since 1995. It started by accident. I was collecting milky quartz in Connecticut when I hit a vein that a few friends and I followed STRAIGHT DOWN for almost 20 feet (I'm not kidding). We were looking for the best piece for our collection. We wound up with thousands of nice crystals. I still have 5 good specimens from that find, but the others were the start of this business.
How often do you update this website
I don't have a regular schedule of updates. I add new specimens as I get them. If you subscribe to my website I will send you an email when I put up new minerals. Just choose subscribe from the menu above and enter your email information. I will never share your email with anyone else and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Questions about the minerals
What is your return policy?
I have a 21 day return policy. If your mineral is not what you expected, please contact me to make arrangements for returning it. I will refund your purchase price minus shipping. I'd much rather have a happy customer long term than make one sale!
Do you sell repaired minerals
As a general rule, I try to avoid repaired minerals. Once in a while I find something that is repaired but is still worth while. When I do, I clearly mark the specimen as repaired.
Will you ship me a mineral 'on approval'?
I can't send things out 'on approval.' While I may know you personally, I don't know everyone who visits this web site. You can, however, return any specimen you are unhappy with within 21 days of receiving it. I'll refund your purchase price minus the shipping charge.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is $10 in the US and $20 overseas.
How long will it take my order to arrive
I ship orders twice a week. When I'm away on a buying trip, it may take a bit longer to ship your order. In either case, I'll send you an email the same day I ship your order, so you can know when to expect your package!
What if my minerals arrive damaged?
Please email me right away. I'll contact the shipper and take care of things. Obviously you are not responsible for minerals which arrive damaged.
Questions about payment
How can I pay for my minerals
You can pay by check, money order, or credit card. I accept both Mastercard and Visa. If you pay by credit card, I will ship your order right away. If you pay by money order, I will ship your order as soon as I receive the money order. If you pay by check I will wait for your check to clear and then ship your order.

Please remember that I travel a lot to get new minerals at the best possible price. If you place an order while I'm away, it may take me a little longer to ship out your order. Your order will not wait for my return to ship, but it may take a little longer. I hope this small inconvenience is more than balanced out by having an interesting selection of new minerals straight from the mines!
Can I pay with a credit card?
You can pay with a credit card either through PayPal or by phoning me with your information.
How much is sales tax?
I'm located in Connecticut, so orders shipped to Connecticut addresses are charged Connecticut sales tax.
