Weloganite with Dresserite & Dawsonite
Francon Quarry, Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Tapered, hexagonal weloganite crystals to 12mm (check out the little cap on the biggest one) dominate this assemblage of rare minerals, nearly all first found at this now long closed quarry. The dull tan bundles of subparallel crystals are dresserite, the small colorless and vitreous crystals are dawsonite, and (hard to see here) spheres of white radiating crystals are franconite. Overall size is 2.5 x 4 x 7, in very good condition with one weloganite missing a termination. Could (should?) be trimmed into a spectacular thumbnail if you are daring!
