Item #10426
Pune District, Maharashtra, India

Is it a bad thing when you cannot decide which is the front and which is the back of a mineral specimen? Of course not! There are a lot of stilbites from India, but not all of them are this good. I really did have a hard time deciding the back versus the front on this piece. I think most people would reverse what I have done, but I really like the chalcedony and smaller accent crystals on what I decided to call the front. This piece sits as shown, has no damage, and good color and luster. India has, for sure, produced the best stilbites in the world, so every collection should have a piece like this. And this one is large at 11.5 x 6.3 x 6 cm.
