Item #10325
$ 1,200
Jacksons Crossroads, Wilkes Co., Georgia

This is the most perfect amethyst I have seen from Jackson's Crossroads. The locality is now famous for producing some of the best amethyst in the world. Unfortunately, many (most?) specimens have a lot of damage. This piece is one of the exceptions. It is 6.5 cm tall, 8.5 cm wide and 6.5 cm deep, and it is flawless. The main crystal has two terminations with the rich purple color that has made specimens from this locality so special. The prism sides are white, providing a nice contrast to the grape jelly above. There is a small sidecar crystal in back. Without exaggeration, you can't get a better loose crystal of this size...
